HonorVet.org Co-founders, Jesse Canella and Jim McCain, have been hitting the pavement in order to raise awareness to support our troops and their families. This Veterans Day, Jesse and Jim appeared on Fox & Friends, CNN, and MSNBC in order to discuss HonorVet.org's mission and their first benefit concert - Unity For Vets.

Jesse was on Fox & Friends at the 7:30am segment with Eric Trump and Bret Michaels. Eric was kind enough to purchase a large amount of tickets to the concert which he donated to active military members.

Eric said "I have a tremendous amount of respect for our soldiers and the sacrifices they make for this country.  Bret Michaels is a great friend of mine, so it’s truly an honor for me to donate these tickets to such brave men & women and their families so that they can enjoy an incredible performance.”

At 7:50am, Jim McCain and Cindy McCain went on CNN live to talk about the extraordinary accomplishments HonorVet.org has made to date. Jim talked briefly about the struggles that his friends went through which inspired him to do something to help. Mrs. McCain then talked about the saddening struggles that the veterans and their families go through on a daily basis.

"HonorVet and what they do is remarkable because these two young men saw not only a need that wasn't being met," said Cindy McCain, "they saw a niche that they not only knew needed to be filled, but was not being filled."

At 3:30pm Jesse and Jim swung into the MSNBC studio to be interviewed on the Martin Bashir show. They both discussed the personal struggles their friends went through and how they came together to make a difference. Jim talked about the Unity For Vets concert and the reason the Marine Veterans decided to produce the show. Jesse talked briefly about HonorVet.org's unique platform and the resources they provide. After the show a few of the producers got teared up by Jesse and Jim's stories as well as their passion to make a difference.

HonorVet.org announced today that ZZ Top Guitarist and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Billy Gibbons, will join rock star performer and “Celebrity Apprentice” winner, Bret Michaels, and his “Get Your Rock On Tour” with the All-Star line-up that includes Ellis Hall and other special Celebrity guests for the “Unity for Vets” concert on Veterans Day at New York’s NYCB Theatre at Westbury, November 11th.

Produced in partnership with financially transparent rock philanthropy Unityfor.org, the concert will be honoring and supporting America’s veterans and current service members as they raise awareness and funds to finance their dedicated support community for vets.

Proceeds from the concert, leveraging UnityFor.org’s ultra low-cost production costs, will be transparently dedicated to HonorVet.org which will directly finance crucial resources and services instantly available to qualified Veterans, service members, and their families, without the usual red tape.

HonorVet.org is a national 501(c) (3) which was co-founded by two US Marines, Jesse Canella and Jim McCain, who served together in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq. Like so many other of America's returning young Veterans, they found the transition back to civilian life to be very difficult. More profoundly, they saw friends who made it through the toughest battle zones succumb to this hidden battle at home. They decided to continue to serve by committing to do something about it

To be produced at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury, Unity For Vets will feature a combination of musicians, celebrities and veterans in a program mixing music and highlighting both the challenges and triumphs of real Veterans. The experience will be complemented and expanded online with activities and social media campaigns including celebrities and high profile artists.

The theme and message of Unity For Vets will be both sober - focusing a spotlight on the issues and needs of America's Veterans in transitioning to civilian life - and inspirational - giving average Americans a way to help not only with money but with their own time and spirit. 

During the course of the event a short ceremony will be produced by multi-Emmy Award-winner LeGrande Green (Oprah) featuring Dr. Brenda Wade (Oprah, The Today Show, CNN, Good Morning America, Essence Magazine). This powerful segment will deliver messages of hope, community and participation.

Performers will supported by the “Unity All Star Band,” comprised of industry pros such as: Anton Fig on Drums (Letterman Band), Mike Visceglia on Bass (Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne), Ellis Hall “The Reverend” on keyboards (Tower of Power), Scott Page on Sax (Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Toto), and music director Martin Guigui on Piano/Hammond B-3 (John Lee Hooker, James Cotton).
